Passive Traits
Every companion carries one passive trait: a small permanent bonus that applies wherever that pet is used. 8 of the 8 traits currently do something; the rest are flavor for now and are marked as such below.

Where a trait comes from
- Starlight Nesting. A newly nested companion has a 40% chance to inherit Parent 1's trait, 40% for Parent 2's, and 20% to settle on a fresh one from the catalogue above.
- A Prism Refraction. A companion with no parents settles on a fresh trait using the catalogue odds shown above: the same weighted pick as the 20% branch above.
- Re-rolling. A Legacy Echo infusion on the companion's page (150 🎐) swaps the trait for a different one. The result is random but is never the trait the pet already had, so a re-roll always changes something: though it can still land on one of the no-effect traits above. Each companion can only be infused 2 times total, shared between a trait re-roll and a stat-ceiling boost, so choose when to spend one.
