Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 7, 2026

These pages describe the current closed-alpha version of Starforge Pets. They are practical drafts for the site and should be reviewed before public launch.

Our north star: Starforge Pets should feel like a cozy crew under a strange sky. Make room for other players, protect their privacy, and keep competition inside the game’s rules.

1. Treat people like people

  • Be welcoming, disagree without personal attacks, and give other players room to enjoy the game differently.
  • Do not harass, threaten, stalk, dogpile, shame, or repeatedly contact someone after they ask you to stop.
  • Do not target someone because of a protected characteristic, identity, disability, nationality, religion, or other personal trait.
  • Do not impersonate another player, a staff member, an artist, or a partner.

2. Keep content safe for the whole crew

  • Do not post sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, or sexual solicitation.
  • Do not post graphic violence, threats of real-world harm, instructions for wrongdoing, or content intended to shock or frighten people.
  • Do not share another person’s real name, private contact details, private messages, account credentials, or identifying information without permission.

Fictional peril may be part of the Frontier, but keep public Player Content within the tone and rating of a broad-audience pet-collecting game.

3. Play fair

  • Do not bot, macro, scrape, automate, or script gameplay or marketplace actions.
  • Do not exploit bugs, duplicate items, manipulate requests, or use an advantage gained from someone else’s account compromise.
  • Do not buy, sell, rent, or trade accounts or Virtual Content for real-world money outside an approved feature.
  • Do not spam, phish, scam, launder stolen goods, or use referral and invitation systems deceptively.

If you find an exploit, report what happened privately in the Starforge Pets Discord. Include enough detail for us to reproduce it, but do not publish a working abuse guide.

4. Respect creative work

Only submit art, writing, images, names, and other content that you created or have permission to use. Do not copy another player’s pet concept, profile, art, or text and present it as your own. Do not use the Service to distribute malware, unauthorized advertising, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Reports and moderation

Use a thread or post's Report button where one is available, or reach the team in the Starforge Pets Discord, when content or behavior puts people, accounts, or the game at risk. A useful report includes what happened, where it happened, the relevant username or URL, and any evidence you can share safely. Do not retaliate against someone for making a good-faith report.

Staff may remove content, limit features, reverse gains, warn, suspend, or close accounts when they believe it is necessary to protect the community or Service. We may consider context, history, intent, severity, and whether someone cooperated with a review. Do not publicly repost removed content or use alternate accounts to evade an action.

6. If something goes wrong

If you feel unsafe, disengage and preserve evidence. Do not share personal details in a public thread. For urgent real-world danger, contact local emergency services. For account compromise, exploitation, or serious community-safety concerns, reach the team in the Starforge Pets Discord.

7. How these guidelines fit with the Terms

These Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. They explain the behavior we expect in player spaces; the Terms also cover accounts, Player Content, Virtual Content, ownership, availability, and legal limits.

We may update these Guidelines as new community features arrive. When in doubt, choose the option that protects another player’s dignity, privacy, and ability to enjoy the game.
